Our client is offering an opportunity for a veteran who is qualified as Fitter and Turner to join their team at one of Australia's largest egg producing farms. The Farm is located near the town Pittsworth, QLD. Pittsworth is just off the Gore Highway 40 kilometres south west of Toowoomba Qld. An energetic and welcoming community, Pittsworth boasts all the bells and whistles of its nearby regional centres, while offering the relaxed and friendly lifestyle of a country town. Pittsworth is a beautiful spot and one of the prime agricultural areas of the world.

Job Description

The successful veteran must be trade qualified and have workshop experience. As a Fitter and Turner you will conduct general workshop repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment. You must be able to work in a team environment and also work independently as required.

Other duties and responsibilities include:
• Management of spare parts
• Carry out inspection, service and repair of equipment and machinery
• Source parts for repairs, modifications and fabrications
• Day to day operations and general workshop housekeeping

Skills Required:
• Welding experience is desirable
• Ability to use the necessary range of testing and measuring instrumentation
• Adhere to all WH&S and standard work procedures
• Sound experience and knowledge of mechanical maintenance
