Job Description
The position sees you responsible for undertaking a range of livestock activities for improved breeding. Working closely with the management team to identify their required breeding requirements, you will apply your knowledge and techniques relating to animal anatomy for optimum fertilising conditions.
Maintaining accurate data records and cleaning all equipment to ensure safe and sanitary breeding practices, you’ll follow proper safety protocols and align all activities to industry and animal welfare standards.
Your Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role and have undertaken studies in animal husbandry at a certificate or degree level.
Competent in APIQ and animal welfare standards you will have a high level of dexterity along with excellent communication skills. To be considered for the role, it’s important you address the following criteria:
- Proven experience in a similar role (highly desirable)
- Studies in animal husbandry (desirable)
- Knowledge of APIQ and welfare standards
- Excellent record keeping
- Dedicated to a culture of safety – working with hazardous chemicals (nitrogen)
